Giving back to the Community
Over the years, we have steadfastly supported a number or worthy causes, as part of our corporate commitment to those in need. Our humanitarian contributions include Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), post-tsunami care to victims and aid to people affected by devastating earthquakes. MSF provides medical care and humanitarian aid to those who need it in nearly 70 countries regardless of race, religion or politics. Their work is based on principles of medical ethics, impartiality and neutrality. On any given day, 27,000 workers are providing assistance to people in crisis.
In 2012, we supported RAM, Remote Area Medical, an all volunteer health and veterinary care program. RAM provides an opportunity for those who can’t afford treatment to get medical, dental, and vision care free of charge. Over 26,000 volunteers have cared for 300,000 patients. RAM volunteers do both US and international expeditions and are always recruiting volunteer professionals for thousands of people in desperate need of help.
